Call for 2026 ITS-NTUST Proposals
Call for Proposal (CFP) for Joint Research Program between National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS)
- Purpose
NTUST and ITS have agreed to conduct a mutual collaboration to aim at promoting their research work and achievements to the international academic and industrial societies.
- Funding
Fund for each research team shall be equally provided by ITS and NTUST, the total amount does not exceed 200,000 TWD (NTUST:up to 100,000 TWD / ITS:up to 50,000,000 IDR).
- Project Execution Period: 2026/1/1 ~ 2026/12/31
- Topics for Collaborative Research
The research topics are not limited to any category.
- Applicant Qualification
Researchers from both universities are encouraged to submit proposals for collaborative research projects.
Applications for the current grant will not be accepted under either circumstance:
- Previous conducted collaborative research project (excluding the 2025 collaborative research project) is not completed or the final report is not submitted yet.
- No associated SCI, SSCI, or A&HCI papers are published within two years after the completion of the previous conducted collaborative research project (excluding the 2025 collaborative research project).
6. Structure of Research Team
Any research project shall consist of a research group from both parties. Principal investigator (PI) from each research group may have any other researchers or graduate students as team members.
The Project may have a researcher(s) from a third party organization if the both Parties agree.
- Assessment and Selection Committee
An Assessment and Selection Committee (ASC), which consists of deans and executives from NTUST and
ITS, supervises the procedures for the review, assessment, and the selection of the proposed research projects. The ASC is also in charge of the allocation of funding to the approved research projects.
- Constraints on the Use of Funding
Each university shall be responsible for the management of its own research fund in accordance with each financial rules. The funds shall be used in accordance with each financial rule. The fund can be used for travel, the expense related report meeting, equipment, consumable products, remuneration to students, and miscellaneous expenses.
Application Procedures
Applicants from both parties must submit project applications in parallel to the school contact person or the designated method before Sep. 15, 2025.

- Reports
A joint final report must be submitted within 2 months after the project is completed.
- Paper
At least one paper derived from this collaborative research should be published by 2027/12/31. Personnel from both NTUST and CTU should appear in the list of authors of the afore-mentioned papers.
Article must include the following acknowledgment: Research was supported by the Joint Research Collaborative Seed Grant Program between National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (Grant No: NTUST-ITS-2026-No).
